Arsenal are set to play another pre-season game in a foreign country as they have now booked a match against Kitchee FC in Hong Kong on July 29th. This match is in addition to the games the club has planned in Nigeria and Beijing. Arsenal certainly seem to be making the most of a year without the Emirates Cup, which has been called off for this pre-season due to the London Olympics. The Hong Kong match will take place just two days after Arsenal play Manchester City in Beijing so don’t expect the first team to be starting in both matches, expect a mixture of youth and experience

The form of captain Robin Van Persie has given Arsenal a glimpse of hope of turning the Milan tie on its head tomorrow evening. Arsenal go into the game with their backs against the wall as they try to recover from the nightmare game they had two weeks ago at The San Siro which saw Milan run away with a 4-0 victory. Before now only three teams have been able to complete the miracle that the gunners face as they try to progress in the competition, after the game even Wenger admitted that it was inevitable that his team would make the quarter finals. But what a couple of results make!

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has stated that star midfielder Jack Wilshere will definitely feature in some parts of Arsenals run in as they try to secure an all important top 4 finish. He also believes that the youngster will be fit and available for selection for England’s Euro 2012 campaign in the summer. Jack made a successful breakthrough into the first team last year but an ankle injury has ruled him out of Arsenals entire campaign this season, which has had a massive negative effect as Arsenal are facing an uphill battle to secure Champions league football next season.

Today Arsenal will look to continue their progress towards a top four league finish. With Wenger winning the Premier League Manager of the Month award yesterday after the Gunners enjoyed an unbeaten month of league action they’ll be looking to extend that run at Anfield today.
